Metsä a entièrement été réalisé dans la forêt de Haukijärvi en Finlande lors d’une résidence de création à Arteles. La série ne se veut pas une transcription fidèle d’un lieu, mais plutôt une évocation.

En pratiquant le shinrin-yoku, ce «bain de forêt» venu du Japon, je me suis laissé imprégner par le lieu, ralentissant le rythme, ouvrant les sens, accueillant ce que la forêt voulait bien offrir. Ici, le regard se resserre et s’ancre dans un espace restreint, une forêt feutrée, propice à l’immersion et à l’écoute. Chaque photographie met en lumière une présence et ouvre une fenêtre vers notre propre intériorité. Plus d’images seront mises en ligne bientôt.

Metsä was created entirely in the Haukijärvi forest in Finland during a creative residency at Arteles. The series is not intended as a faithful transcription of a place, but rather as an evocation.

By practicing shinrin-yoku, this « forest bathing » from Japan, I allowed myself to be immersed in the place, slowing down the pace, opening my senses, and welcoming what the forest had to offer. Here, the gaze narrows and anchors itself in a restricted space, a hushed forest, conducive to immersion and listening. Each photograph highlights a presence and opens a window onto our own interiority. More images will be posted online soon.
