Cet ensemble de travail a été réalisé lors d’une résidence internationale au studio du Conseil des arts du Canada à la Cité internationale des arts de Paris. J’aborde ici la problématique nature/culture dans la région périphérique parisienne et son contexte de concentration de développement. La photographie de style documentaire avec sa sobriété et son apparente objectivité permet de souligner les tensions et harmonies entre les infrastructures humaines et les éléments plus naturels de ces environnements. L’influence de l’humain est souvent marquée par le cartésien et sa rigidité qui côtoient l’organique et sa souplesse. Cette organisation spatiale a une présence physique et matérielle, mais marque aussi fortement le psychologique.
 

Impressions

Des impressions archives au jet d’encre sur papier fibre dans une édition de 10 pour chacune des images des diptyques sont disponibles aux formats 16’’ x 20’’ (40 cm x 50 cm) et 32’’ x 40’’ (81 cm x 102 cm).

This body of work was produced during an international residency at the Canada Council for the Arts studio at la Cité internationale des Arts in Paris. Here I address the nature/culture issue in the Parisian periphery and its context of concentrated development. Documentary-style photography with its sobriety and apparent objectivity highlights the tensions and harmonies between human infrastructures and the more natural elements of these environments. The human influence is often marked by the Cartesian and its rigidity alongside the organic and its flexibility. This spatial organization has a physical and material presence, but also has a strong psychological impact.
 

Prints

Archival inkjet prints on fiber based paper in an edition of 10 for each of the diptych images are available in 16’’ x 20’’ (40 cm x 50 cm) and 32’’ x 40’’ (81 cm x 102 cm).
